LA County Vaccine

Vaccination Update – January 20, 2021

The SCV Senior Center applauds the efforts of Supervisor Barger in pushing through the need for those 65 and older to receive the Covid-19 Vaccine.  The County has changed their protocol and is now accepting appointments.  There are over one million individuals in this category and supply of vaccines will come into the County on a weekly basis.

We have no influence on this system and they seem to be doing everything possible given their constraints.

For your information:

Reservations can be made by visiting VaccinateLACounty.com or by calling the new COVID information hotline at (833) 540-0473, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

This morning (January 20th) the appointment site said there are no more appointment slots, but they are likely to add more later this week.  Everyone is encouraged to check the site frequently.

At last night’s COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall meeting.  They said vaccines will be offered depending on when supplies are received (that’s why it seems sporadic).

  • Note the SCV Senior Center has offered its parking lot as a vaccine site, but it is very early in the roll out and the large sites are getting organized first. If we have the opportunity to host a site – we will update the website to reflect that.

Thank you and stay safe.
