The Advisory Council (Council) promotes Independence, Dignity and Quality of Life for seniors. It is a volunteer group that works in conjunction with the Committee On Aging (CoA) and the Bella Vida Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center Executive Staff (Executive Staff). The Council’s primary mission is to advocate for Senior Center Members and the SCV Senior community. In addition, the Council is a conduit by which the Senior Center and the Senior Community issues are conveyed to Executive Staff and CoA. Council members, a CoA representative, and Executive Staff meet monthly to discuss topics and Center activities. Reports are given by senior center staff, the CoA representative, Council Senior Center activity liaisons, and senior housing representatives. The meetings are in person at the Center or via Zoom; there are not meetings in August and December.
