Would you like to be a safer, more confident driver? Please join us at the SCV Senior Center for AARP’s Safe Driver course. This course is specifically designed for drivers aged 50 and older. In many states, drivers may benefit from a discount on their auto insurance premium upon completing the course. (Please check with your insurance carrier).
The course offers so many benefits:
You will refresh your driving skills and your knowledge of the rules and hazards of the road, as well as reduce your chances of receiving a traffic ticket or getting into an accident.
The course is designed on researched-based safe driving strategies. You’ll receive information on the effects of medication on driving, preventing driver distractions, proper use of safety belts, air bags, anti-lock brakes, and new technology found in cars today, as well as state-specific rules and regulations in 19 key driving topics.
This course is the complete 8-hour course. You will attend for 4 hours (8:30 am -12:30 pm) on Thursday, January 12, 2023, and also an additional 4 hours (8:30 am- 12:30 pm) on Friday, January 13th. Please bring your license. The cost is $25/non-AARP members, $20/AARP members, and free to United Healthcare members (you must bring your membership card). Please make checks payable to AARP. Credit cards cannot be accepted.
